The Trinchero family made their way to the Napa Valley in 1948 and today is recognized as a pioneer in the wine industry. Trinchero Napa Valley is the family’s flagship winery that produces premium Estate wines.

Together, we will experience the great diversity in terroir of the Napa Valley. During this interactive tasting, we will discuss how a vineyard’s soil, climate, elevation and sun exposure can impact the wine in the glass. Most importantly, what brought a family to Napa Valley in pursuit of the American Dream.

Influenced by illustrious French wine producers, Bruce and Barbara Neyers were some of the first to bring the Old World winemaking techniques to the Napa Valley. Focusing on sustainability in the vineyard and little intervention in the winery, the resulting wines are nothing short of exceptional. Bruce will lead us through a tasting of Old World-inspired Neyers wines.

Anderson Valley, located in Mendocino County, remains one of California’s coolest-climate winegrowing regions. The Santa Lucia highlands harnesses warm sun and cool ocean influence creating wines of purity and precision. Join Derek Rohlffs as he shares his winemaking approach, and tastes through four wines that express the sense of place of these renowned regions.

Founded by longtime Napa resident Karen Cakebread, ZIATA Wines was created in honor of her mother, Mary Annunziata. Karen is passionate about producing wines with a sense of place while remaining food friendly, all while building personal relationships with the growers and consumers. On the world stage, Napa and Sonoma are recognized as premiere wine growing regions. Separated by the Mayacamas mountain range, these regions each experience a unique terroir as showcased in the selected wines of this tasting. Together we will dive deeper in understanding the similarities and differences between the history, agriculture, climate, soils, and general styles of wine. Napa Cellars and Folie à Deux produce quality, terroir-driven wines, and through this tasting, you will have the opportunity to determine if you have a preferred style. Let the battle begin!
