Central Coast

Starting just south of San Francisco and extending all the way through Santa Barbara, the Central Coast is home to some of California’s most intricate and intriguing wines. Some of the region’s most notable appellations are Paso Robles, Edna Valley, Monterey County, and Santa Lucia Highlands. Best known for its two drastically different climates, the area receives heavy coastal influence that stays consistently cool along the Pacific coastline, with heavy sun and dry heat as you move inland. Though Chardonnay has remained the dominant grape of this region, it has also produced some outstanding reds like Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.
