Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Dense ruby color with a purple hue, this alluring, powerful wine showcases aromatics of blueberry
pie, dark briary fruit characters and huckleberry compote. The well-integrated oak is subtle, yet present. This opulent blend starts out very robust and transitions to a full mid-palate displaying plush, velvety tannins. There is a lot of dark fruit on the palate and a creamy, milk chocolate nuance on the finish.
Production Notes
2016 produced lower yields but excellent quality and concentration throughout the Napa Valley. Due in part to the drought, but more so an extended period of cool weather during bloom, our grape clusters were on the lighter side and our berries stayed smaller with thicker skins. All in all, this vintage produced great quality fruit and excellent wine.
Other Notes
Varietal Composition: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 9% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot, 2% Petite Sirah
