Aromas of red berry, plum, spice, black cherry with toffee and soft subtle chocolate accents are complemented by some floral notes that make for a seductive first sip. This racy Central Coast blend has notes of black cherry, raspberry, strawberry, lift from vanilla tones, sweet roasted marshmallow notes and a hint of cocoa. The wine is opulent yet balanced with a soft palate and a smooth, rounded, supple finish.
The 2015 vintage experinced an earlier budbreak than normal. Sourced mainly from the mid to northern part of the Central Coast, the moderate temperatures elongated the growing season allowing the grapes to retain acidity and develop intruiging, diverse characteristics.
Sourced from vineyards throughout the coveted Central Coast and a small part of Contra Costa County, this wine is inspired by the Rhône and Priorat regions, yet with California soul. The Central Coast is a large AVA spanning from San Francisco County south to Santa Barbara County.
