The grapes for the 2016 Pinot Noir came from premier vineyards in California — 40% from the Lodi/Delta region and 60% from Central Coast.
Harvested during the cool mornings in Sacramento County and the Central Coast, the grapes were brought into the winery at a cool 55 degrees. After a brief cold soak, the grapes were then sent to tank for an eight day fermentation. The wine was aged on French and American oak to add complexity and round out the tannins.
