Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Inviting aromas of ripe red fruit are complemented by fresh flavors
of cherries and strawberries, accented with sweet, spicy oak tones.
The wine is opulent yet balanced with a soft palate and a smooth,
rounded, supple finish.
Vineyard Notes
Sourced from vineyards throughout the coveted Central Coast and
a small part of Contra Costa County, this wine is inspired by the
Rhône and Priorat regions, yet with California soul. The Central
Coast is a large AVA spanning from San Francisco County south to
Santa Barbara County.
Winemaker Notes
The 2016 vintage experienced an earlier budbreak than normal.
Sourced mainly from the mid to northern part of the Central
Coast, the moderate temperatures elongated the growing season
allowing the grapes to retain acidity and develop intruiging, diverse
characteristics.
Other Notes
Varietal Composition: 51% Grenache, 35% Syrah, 12% Carignan, 2% Merlot
