Complicated Pinot Noir 2016
Aged in French oak barrels
Complicated 2016 Pinot Noir is a classic Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. With good clarity and a soft, ruby color in the glass, the wine presents beautiful aromas of light black cherry-earth, herbal notes, hints of teriyaki, rose petal, strawberry and raspberry. The juicy palate with a medium body and background of powder and minerality supports flavors of plum, cherry and strawberry with tobacco and coffee notes.
The 2016 growing season began in early spring in Sonoma County. After welcomed winter rains filled the reservoirs in March, the spring remained mostly mild, with some cool, wet weather during bloom. Vintage 2016 yielded grapes that were balanced in sugar and phenolic maturity, and concentrated in flavor and color. An uneventful growing season with an exceptional quality!
