Tasting Notes
You’ve never experienced Cabernet Sauvignon like this before—
from the moment you take your first sip, you can tell Batch No. 198
is something special. Aromas of cherries, caramel and sweet leather
lead to complex layers of black cherry, blackberry and plum
enhanced by nuances of toasted vanilla, smoke and spice imparted
by the bourbon barrels. It’s bold and balanced with smooth,
integrated tannins and a lingering finish—the ideal
companion for thick steaks and great conversations
Vineyard Notes
Our Batch 198 Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from premier vineyards in North Coast, California. The majority of the grapes are sourced from Alexander Valley, a Sub AVA of the North Coast.
Winemaker Notes
We age our Cabernet Sauvignon in Kentucky Bourbon Oak Barrels for 3 months, which were previously used to age 6-year-old Kentucky Bourbon. After aging, the wine was blended with Merlot and Petite Sirah for balance. Similar to aging in wine barrels, bourbon barrel aging delivers a uniquely crafted flavor profile with subtle whisky notes, vanilla and spice in the final blend. A unique flavor fusion experience, for both the craft spirit and wine lover.
Other Notes
Varietal Composition: 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 3% Petite Sirah
