The Sutter Home Pinot Noir opens with rich aromatic layers of raspberry, black cherry and violet with just a touch of plum. This elegant wine is mediumbodied with a polished structure that leads to flavors of cherry-cola, berry jam and spice. Try pairing this classic California Pinot Noir with tender lamb kebabs and roasted seasonal vegetables.
The grapes for the Sutter Home Pinot Noir were selected from vineyards in Lodi and the marine-influenced Delta region. These vineyards consistently produce classic and beautiful California Pinot Noir fruit and the blend from the two regions creates a balanced and complex wine.
To preserve the Pinot Noir’s fragrant varietal aromas and delicate, bright flavors, the wine was cold-fermented in stainless steel tanks. Following fermentation, the wine was briefly aged on French and American oak.
