Sutter Home Zinfandel 750 mL
Sutter Home Zinfandel is zesty and soulful—the kind of wine that makes you want to shout, “Let the good times roll!” This wine has a beautiful, dark purple color and an intense aroma of fresh berries and black pepper. Supple tannins support bright, juicy blackberry and ripe plum flavors and warm accents of toasted vanilla and spicy black pepper. Smooth and casual, our Zinfandel makes every day feel like a party. It’s the perfect partner for spicy BBQ ribs, cheeseburgers, roast chicken, and pasta. But at the end of a long week, nothing beats a bottle of our Zin and a hot pizza delivered to your door.
GOLD - LA International Wine Competition 2016 "BEST OF CLASS", & GOLD - Indy International Wine Competition
Our Zinfandel is crafted from grapes selected from premier vineyards in California’s Sierra Foothills and Lodi regions, where grapes develop supple tannins and intense, deep flavors. Zinfandel is California’s signature varietal, and was planted in the Sierra Foothills during the Gold Rush where many of the original vines thrive to this day.
Our classic California Zinfandel is bursting with juicy berries and peppery spice. Made in a traditional style, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks for ten days at 85°F and undergoes 100% malolactic fermentation to enhance its rich aromas and luxurious mouthfeel. Winemakers age the wine for roughly one year on French and American oak, which adds both body and toasty sweet vanilla notes to the wine.

safeway in seaside ca recently told me this zin was discontinued. I was a wine buyer and merchandising retailer throughout the 70's and 80's for albertsons in laguna bch ca. Sutter home white zin became famous and helped launch my new very successful wine dept. Zin is my wine, the orphan grape and sutter home has been my choice for a very long time. it is detailed very well in your production notes and has always been the best value on the shelf. my memory will never forget a very bold, rich reserve zin of yours i found in about 1979, probably the best zin to my senses. i don.t know what is going on with safeway, its not the first time they discontinued a favorite item in the store. may the new guy named bob running the company should tell his people to get their head out of their ---!!!
