Sutter Home Sweet Red 187 mL
Sutter Home Sweet Red is carefree and uncomplicated—chill a bottle and then chill out, letting the pretty floral and peach aromas whisk you away. Fresh cherries and juicy berries mingle with ripe peaches on the palate, a luscious dance that leads to a rich, velvety finish. Our softer-styled Sweet Red has a natural residual grape sweetness to provide a luscious mouthfeel and smooth, lightly sweet flavors balanced by refreshing acidity. This is the kind of everyday wine that makes every day a little more special. It’s an ideal partner for swinging in a hammock, and is utterly delicious with mild cheeses, zesty BBQ ribs, and spicy Asian foods.
Our Sweet Red is made from fruit selected from premier vineyards throughout California, including the cool North Coast and marine influenced Delta regions, as well as warm Lake County. This red blend reflects the unique characteristics of each vineyard and showcases the individual personality of each v arietal.
To craft this easygoing red wine, winemakers bring together the refinement of 50% Merlot, 22% Floral Blender, the spicy spirit of 14% Zinfandel and 14% Syrah. It’s a delightful and unexpected blend that highlights the best attributes of each varietal. To preserve its fresh, fruity aromas and flavors, the wine is cold-fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel tanks. The blend is finished in a semi-dry style, enhancing the blend’s soft tannins and luscious mouthfeel.

The Best Red Wine l have evert had. I used to buy a lot of the 187ml from a Grocery Store here in Midlothian, VA called Martin's. But the Martin's Grocery stores have been bought by another company and are now closed to be re-opened. I hope the New Company will still carry my Red Sweet wine. Thanks Ephraim Taboh.
