Sutter Home Retro Muscat Of Alexandria 2014
Muscat of Alexandria
The Sutter Home Muscat of Alexandria is the perfect ending to any delicious meal. It starts with beautifully perfumed aromas of ripe, juicy peaches and bright honeysuckle. On the palate, the wine is delicately balanced with flavors of melons and stone fruit. This Muscat of Alexandria is so mouth-watering that it can be enjoyed as dessert itself.
Sutter Home Winery has been producing this classic, fragrant, light-bodied dessert wine from the Muscat grape for over 50 years. This Muscat of Alexandria is vinified from grapes grown near Madera and Fresno in the Central Valley of California. Muscat is the grape that is believed to be the ancestor from which all grapes descended and it has been estimated that as many as 200 clones of the grape exist today.
The Sutter Home Muscat of Alexandria was cap and drained to increase varietal intensity and was 100% non-malolactic fermented to maintain crisp acidity. To preserve its fresh, fragrant aromas and flavors, this wine is cold-fermented at 50 degrees and aged entirely in refrigerated stainless steel tanks.

I really like this wine! I order it by the case every time I place an order. I would highly recommend it. The first time I tried it was at Sutter Home in Napa Valley and fell in love every since.

The first time I had this wine was on a trip to Napa Valley. We visited Sutter Home and upon first taste I fell in love with it (almost missed the bus because I was ordering 6 bottles). Five years later my friends and daughter all love this wine and want to know if I still have any. My son now makes a case either a Christmas or Birthday present which is just fine with me.

I had this wine the first month it was released and have been drinking it ever since. This wine is A+...I never leave the showroom without at least 3 bottles.
